Nicole-Antoinette Urbina Ruiz
Nicole-Antoinette is a Maryland local and has been Wafi Media’s Editor in Chief for three years. She began her journey at Wafi as the pilot writer for the website at age 19 and now manages a fully trained team of writers at the age of 22. She graduated from McDaniel College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies in 2023. During her Bachelor’s Degree, she conducted research on the developmental chain of indigenous peoples in Latin America to tie in with her personal journey of uncovering her own roots. She is deeply passionate and knowledgable about latino culture, indigenous peoples, social justice and human rights. outside of her work with Wafi, Nicole-Antoinette is an avid singer, runner and outspoken advocate for the Latine and immigrant community.
